In the Preah Meru Court, Tuesday 12 May 2009 morning His Majesty the King was presiding over the ritual Ploughing Day. Accompanying the King on this occasion: Samdech Chea Sim, President of the Senate, Samdech Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly, and spouse, Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister Minister of the Royal Palace, Samdech Sisowath Chivan Monireak, 1st Vice President of the Senate and spouse, Samdech Norodom Sirivuth, Councillor of the High Privy Council to His Majesty and spouse, His Excellence Mr Chea Soth, Councillor of the High Privy Council to His Majesty, His Excellency Mr. Say Chhum, 2nd Vice President of the National Assembly, His Excellency Mr Sok An, Deputy Prime Minister Minister of the Council of Ministers, members of the Royal family and government top officials . Also present at the event,diplomatic corps and international organizations which have taken part in the country’s agricultural development, representatives of the Kingdom’s farmers : Islamist Khmers and other representatives from different institutions.
