In 3 November 2009 afternoon, His Majesty the King presided over the last day of the Water Festivals on a Royal rostrum in front of the Royal Palace. Distinguished dignitaries and country’s prominent figures, government officials attended the royal event, mainly Samdech Heng Samrin, the National Assembly chairman, Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister and Mrs. Bun Rani Hun Sen, Samdech Sisowath Chivan Monireak, Senate 1st Vice Chairman, and spouse, Samdech Nordom Sirivudh, High Privy councellor to His Majesty the King and spouse, Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, members of parliaments, government officals, the Royal Armed Forces, and chiefs of diplomatic corps.
