On 18 April 2012, HM the King begins his humanitarian activities in Sambo district, Kandal province, by visiting seven of the poorest families. Each family received 50kg of rice, a kit with mosquito net and clothes and 50,000.00 riels. His Majesty the King’s humanitarian odyssey was accompanied by Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, H.E. Mr. Kuy Sophal, Senior Minister in charge of Royal Palace Affairs, H.E. Chhea Horn, Minister of the Royal Palace along with the local authorities.
