On14 April 2012 afternoon, 2nd Day of the Khmer New Yea, HM the King preside over the Shower rituals in front of the Throne Hall. It consisted in giving shower to Buddha’s statues and Monks with consecrated water. Accompanying HM the King, were Samdech Norodom Sirivudh, High Privy Counsellor to HM the King, and his spouse, Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, H.E. Mr. Kuy Sophal, senior Minister in charge of Royal Palace Affairs, members of Royal Family and Royal Palace dignitaries. Afterwards in late afternoon, HM the King observed the ritual of “ Baing Sokaul” in the Throne Hall, where the 100 monks are praying in front of Royal Urns.
