April 13, 2011 is the 1st Day of the Khmer New Year, on this occasion HM the King presided over the welcoming ceremony to the Goddess of the new year of Nagar at the Throne Hall. Beside HM the King Samdech Reach Botrey Preah Ream Norodom Bupha Devi, Senator, Samdech Krom Preah Norodom Rannaridh, President of High Privy Consellors to HM the King, Samdech Norodom Sirivudh ,High Privy Counsellor to HM the King, Cambodian Ambassadress to Malaysia Samdech Reach Botrey Preah Anoch Norodom Arun Rasmy, Advisor to HM the King’s Cabinet HRH Princess Norodom Marie, Deputy prime minister and Royal Palace Minister Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Senior Minister in charge of Royal Palace affairs H.E. Mr. Kuy Sophal were beside HM the King. Members of Royal family and Royal Palace dignitaries were also present at this solemn occasion.
