On 11 December 2008 HM King Norodom Sihamoni vsited the population and the realisations donated by Samdech Euv and Samdech Me to the people in the commune of Thpong – Kompong Speu province. Part of the Royal delegation was Samdech preah Anoch Princess Norodom Arun Rasmy, Samdech Kong Sam Ol, and the dignitaries from the royal palace and the local authorities from the province. To the rural population in this province Samdech Euv and Samdech Me donated a “laterite” road linking national 42 - from the district of Tang Kroch, Samrong Tong, ith Oknha Ses – in Kompong Speu province. The construction of the road is almost complete. HM King also visited a construction site where Samdech Eu’s team was actively digging an artificial pond of 70m long and 30 m large and 3m deep. HM King Norodom Sihamoni gave financial support to the poor families who worked on the site. Each family received food, accessories, school materials and 50,000 riels. On the same day HM King Norodom Sihamoni continued His visit to inform about each family at their home. Poor families received rice, clothes, and financial support from the King.
