On the morning of October 9th, 2012 His Majesty the King paid a visit to the building site of a new Neurological Science Center at the Calmette Hospital. Among the royal entourage presented were Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Royal Palace Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Senior Minister in charge of Royal Palace Affairs H.E. Mr. Kuy Sophal, Minister to the Ministry of the Royal Palace H. E. Mr. Chhea Horn, and other Royal Palace dignitaries. At the construction site His Majesty the King was warmly welcomed by H.E. Mr. Mam Bun Heng, Minister of Health, Prof. Chhieng Ra, Director of Calmette Hospital, and Prof. Kong Sanya Deputy Director of Calmette Hospital, H.E. Mr. Christian Conan, French Ambassador to the Kingdom, Professor François Xavier Roux, representative of “La Chaine de l’Espoir” Organization, all medical personnel, and construction laborers. His Majesty the King donated school uniforms and 20,000 Riels to each child patient, clothes and 20,000 Riels to patients’ parents and the 20 construction laborers received clothes and 20,000 Reils.
