On September 25, 2007, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni presided over the inauguration ceremony of the Sihamoni Reachea Bouddhist University built in the compound of the Svay Pope Pagoda, attended by Samdech Preah MohaSang Reacheathipadey Tep Vong, patriarch the Buddhist Sangha of Cambodia, by Samdech Preah Sokunthipadey Bour Kry, Patriarch Thammayudh sect, and by Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Som Ol, deputy prime minister and minister of the Royal palace.
