On September 8, 2007, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni granted an audience to 84 orphans living with HIV/AIDS treated at the Preah Ket Mealea Hospital of Phnom Penh accompanied by Cambodian and foreign paramedics. Prior to the audience, the group was offered a tour of the Silver Pagoda and of the Royal Palace. The audience was ended by a distribution of humanitarian aid to the children and to their caregivers.
