On 23 March 2011, HM the King visited the most underprivileged rural bases in Kom-pong Thom province and its ancients temples. Accompanying HM the King, His Holiness Samdech Bou Kry, Deputy Prime Minister and Royal Palace Minister Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Senior Minister and Minister in charge of Royal Palace Affairs H.E. Mr. Kuy Sophal, as well as Kompong Thom provincial authorities . HM the King observed the ritual prayer at Yeay Poan and Lion Temples, built in 616 by former King Preah Bat Ey San Varman, in Sambo commune, district of Prasat Sambo.
