On 13 October 2009, His Majesty the King called on flood victims in Tipo, Tbaung Krapeu, and Kokos communes , Santuk district, Kompong Thom province. Accompanying the King on His humanitarian visit, Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, Royal Palace dignitaries and local authorities in Kompong Thom province. His Majesty the King donated 63 poor families of Samrong and Choam Thnanh villages, in Tipo commune, district of Santuk, Kompong Thom province. Each family received 50kg rice, commodities, blankets, mosquito nets, clothes and financial subventions.
