On 7 November 2011, HM the King begins his humanitarian activities in Kompong Ro district, Svay Rieng province, by visiting 2 poorest flood victims families, in Khum Thmey commune. Each family received IR 66 paddy seeds, 50kg of rice , a case of noodle, a 12 bottle pack of drinking water, a kit with mosquito net and clothes, food and 50,000 riels. Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, H.E. Mr. Kuy Sophal Senior Minister in charge of Royal Palace Affairs, H.E. Chhea Horn, Minister of the Royal Palace, and local Authorities were accompanying His Majesty the King. Afterwards, HM king Norodom Sihamoni was warmly welcomed by a 850 representatives of flood victims, from 3 villages of Khum They commune, Kompong Ro dstrict, province of Svay Rieng. Each family was issued IR66 paddy seed, 50kg of rice, a case of noodle, a 12 bottle pack of drinking water, a kit and 50,000 riels.
