Royal Kathen Tean

Each year HM the King observes the Kathen Tean ritual, a Buddhist ceremony consisted in supplying Buddhist monks with offerings.
This year HM the King chose Botum Vaddey Pagoda, in Phnom Penh city as a pagoda to receive the royal offerings.
On 24 October afternoon Botum Vaddey monks performed the ceremony presided over by HM the King accompanied by Palace dignitaries and members of the Royal family.
Among the Royal entourage: High Privy Counsellors to HM the King Samdech Norodom Sirivudh and Samdech Sisowath Pong Neary Monipong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol.
