Khmer New Year’s Celebrations: Aspersion of Buddha’s statues

On the New Year’s 2nd Day, 15 April 2010 afternoon in the Throne Hall, HM the King presided over the ritual aspersion of Buddha’s statues and monks.
Attending this solemn occasion Samdech Sisowath Chivan Monirak, High Privy Counsellor to HM the King and 1st Vice President of the Senate, and spouse, Samdech Norodom Sirivudh, High Privy Counsellor to HM the King and spouse, Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal palace, Royal Family’s members and Royal Palace dignitaries.
In presence of 100 monks in the Throne Hall, HM the King conducted the ritual prayer before the Royal Urns.
