On 28 January 2010 HM the King visited the needy population in Angkor Chey district, Kampot province. On His humanitarian tour, HM the King was accompanied by Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, deputy prime minister and minister of the Royal palace, HE Mr. Kuy Sophal, senior minister in charge of the Royal palace affairs and by provincial authorities. HM the King visited poor families in their homes and provided them with material and financial donations.
