On 28th May 2012 morning, HM the King Norodom Sihamoni presided over the Royal Ploughing Ceremony in Kg Cham Province. On Royal escort, Samdech Heng Samrin, National Assembly President and his Spouse, Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, H. R.H Prince Norodom Sirivudh and his spouse, H.E. Mr. Nguon Niel first vice President of the National Assembly, H.E.Mr. Tep Ngorn 2nd vice President of the Senat, H.E. Mr. Tea Banh Deputy Prime Minister and Minister National Defense. Also Present, Members of the Royal Family, Parliamentarians, Senators, Government Officials, Diplomatic Corps, Representatives from international Organizations which have contributed to the agricultural development in the Kingdom, Representatives of farmers and other Institution representatives in the Kingdom. This year, the Royal Ploughing Rite began on 25th May to end on 28th May 2013, the Govenor of Kg Cham province got the role of Sdech Meak and his spouse Preah Mehour.
