On 12 February 2010, HM the King visited two poor rural areas in Krang Chek commune, Oudong district, in Kompong Speu province. On His humanitarian tour HM the King was accompanied by Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, deputy prime minister and minister of the Royal palace, HE Mr Kuy Sophal, senior minister (in charge of palace affairs), and local authorities. HM the King visited eight poor families in their homes and donated materials as well as 50,000 riels.
