On 30 September 2009 His Majesty the King visited 5 villages hit by typhoon in Kompos Os and Peam Chkaok communes , Chul Kiri district , Kompong Chhnang province. In His humanitarian visit, His Majesty was accompanied by Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, , Royal Place dignitaries, and local authorities. His Majesty the King donated the typhoon victims in three villages: 98 families in Kompong Os commune, 2 other families in Peam Chkaok commune, Chul Kiri district, in Kompong Chhnang province. Each family receives 50kg of rice, commodities, clothes and financial subventions.
