Each year HM the King observes the Kathentean Royal ritual, a Buddhist ceremony consisted in supplying Buddhist monks with offerings. This year HM the King chose Meatikaram Pagoda, in Preah Sedch district, Prey Veng Province as a pagoda to receive the Royal Offerings. On first November 2013 afternoon, 8 monks from Meatikaram Pagoda, performed the Buddhist ritual presided over by HM the King accompanied by Palace dignitaries and Members of the Royal Family. Among the Royal entourage: High Privy Counsellors to HM the King Samdech Norodom Sirivudh and Spouse, Samdech Sisowath Chivan Monirak and Spoue, Samdech Sisowath Pong Neary Monipong, deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol.
