HM the King’s Visit to the people
of Takeo province

On September 8, 2011, HM the King visited the people of Kauk Thlork commune, Angkor Borei district,Takeo province.
HM the King’s delegation was composed of Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, H.E. Mr. Kuy Sophal, Senior Minister in charge of Royal Palace Affairs, H.E. Mr. Chhea Horn Minister to the Royal Palace, and the local Authorities.
HM the King visited the most needy families in their homes and distributed to each of them 50kg of rice, a carton of noodles, a kit and 50,000 riels.
HM the King offered cult objects to a Buddha statue under a banyan.
The Phnom Da pagoda was offered 1,000,000 riels, 5 bags of rice, food, sodas and mineral water. To each of the 3 monks present on that occasion offered offered 100,000 riels, a religious kit.
