The Ploughing Ceremony began from Wednesday 18 through Saturday 21 May 2011. H.E. Mr. Say Chhum, 2nd Deputy President of the National Assembly performed Sdech Meak’s duty,H.E. Mrs. Ker Chamnony, member of the National Assembly that of Preah Mehour. On Saturday 21 May, the final day of the celebration, Sdech Meak and Preah Mehour gave cult offerings to statues of former Kings in the Kingdom, to the Angels protecting the Throne, before departing for the Court of Preah Meru. Before performing the ploughing Sdech Meak - Preah Mehour received blessings from the King, and from the Bakous. At the end of the ceremony HM the King donated cloths, financial subventions to poor farmers representing 24 provinces of the Kingdom.
