On15 April 2011 afternoon, 2nd Day of the New Year HM the King presided over the Blessing Water ritual in front of the Throne Hall. It consisted in bathing Buddha’statues and Monks with Blessing water. Accompaning HM the King were Samdech Norodom Sirivudh, High Privy Counsellor to HM the King, and his spouse, Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, H.E. Mr. Kuy Sophal, senior Minister in charge of Royal Palace Affairs, members of Royal Family and Royal Palace dignitaries. In late afternoon in presence of the 100 monks, at the Throne Hall, HM the King observed the ritual of “ Baing Sokaul”, consisted in praying in front of royal urns.
