The Royal Sacred Furrow Day in Siem Reap

On 2 May 2010 the official Royal Sacred Furrow Day celebrations began.
This year Siem Reap province has been chosen to host the event with Prince Sisowath Veachiravuth performing Sdech Neak’s duty and Princess Norodom Rasmi Pinita that of Preah Me Hour.
At 8h30 am, HM the King Norodom Sihamoni arrived at the Elephant Terrace to preside over the ceremony.
Attending the ceremony Samdech Heng Samrin, National Assembly President, Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace , Samdech Preah Ream Norodom Bupha Devi, Senator, Samdech Preah Anoch Norodom Arun Rasmi, Cambodian Ambassadress to Malaysia, Samdech Sisowath Chivan Monirak, High Privy Counsellor to HM the King and 1st Vice Chairman of the Senate, and spouse, Samdech Norodom Sirivuth, High Privy Counsellor to H.M. the King, and spouse, H.E.Mr. Nguon Nhel, 1st Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, H.E.Mr. Tep Ngorn, 2nd Vice Chairman of the Senate, H.E.Mr. Tea Banh, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, H.E. Mr.Nhek Bun Chhay, Vice Prime Minister, M.E.Mrs. Men Sam An, Standing Vice Prime Minister, the Royal Family, Parliamentarians, High Ranking Officials and Diplomatic Representatives, International Organization Representatives, and the local population..
