Traditional ceremony of the Sacred Furrow

On May 23, 2008, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni presided over the traditional ceremony of the Sacred Furrow that starts the rainy season and that is used as on oracle to predict the harvest to come. HE Mr. Tep Ngon, second Deputy Chairman of the Seante and his spouse were appointed as the High Representatives of His Majesty to the ceremony which was attended by Samdech Akka Moha Ponheachakrey Heng Samrin, Chairman of the National Assembly, HRH Samdech Sisowath Chivanmonirak, first Deputy Chairman of the Senate, Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Som Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, senators, members of parliament and members of the Royal Government.
