On July 7, 2007, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni presided over the inauguration ceremony of the new National Assembly building, attended by Samdech Chea Sim, Chairman of the Senate, Samdech Heng Samrin, Chairman of the National Assembly, Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia and Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Som Ol, Minister of the Royal Palace.
